Born and raised in Delhi, Suraj Prasad has been passionate about cinema since childhood. Immersed in theatre from an early age, he trained under prestigious institutions like the National School of Drama Workshop, Barry John’s Acting Studio, and Sukhmanch Theatre, performing across a range of impactful stage productions.

Fuelled by this creative foundation, Suraj pursued his filmmaking journey with certifications from the London Film Academy and a diploma from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan’s Department of TV & Film Production in New Delhi. With over nine years in the creative field and six years of hands-on filmmaking experience, he has directed numerous short films, music videos, corporate films, and commercial content.

He has worked as an Assistant Director on major feature films like Atrangi Re and Raksha Bandhan (dir. Aanand L. Rai), Dunki (dir. Rajkumar Hirani), and Fighter (dir. Siddharth Anand), along with digital campaigns for brands including Dice Media, Honda, Bajaj Finserv, Godrej, Tit Bit Masale, Delhi Police, and various Government of India ministries.

In 2014, he founded Versatile Motion Films, starting with stage photography and evolving into a full-fledged production house by 2015. Today, he leads the company as Director and Producer, bringing a deep understanding of every facet of the filmmaking process. For Suraj, direction is not just a role—it’s a commitment to uniting creative minds, guiding stories, and holding every thread of the production together, quietly and powerfully.
